Lunch & Learn | Christian Identity after Nicaea
Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM
Central Standard Time UTC -06:00
Our 2025-2026 Faculty Lunch & Learn Series continues with the Rev. Dr. Britta Meiers Carlson presenting:
Christian Identity after Nicaea
2025 marked the 1700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea. Church leaders and theologians across the globe paused to reflect on the continuing impacts of the council for Christian theology and identity, especially in view of the church's relationship to systems of power. This session will present some key takeaways from the anniversary events. It will focus on what it means to be a church that is founded in relationship with the Triune God and on the practices that guide us in cultivating a theological imagination to be such a church together.
