    Can’t be with us at Sewanee to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of EfM’s 50th? Join us via Zoom for worship and for plenary sessions! Celebrate in place, wherever you are. Register for the 50th’s Zoom stream and participate virtually in the celebration’s worship and plenary sessions.
     

    What will be streamed?

    • Plenary - “EfM: All the Pieces Matter,” with the Rev. Kevin M. Goodman, 7PM CT, 6/5/25
      • EfM’s Executive Director Kevin Goodman opens the EfM’s 50th Celebration by recognizing all who make the program successful then leading the plenary through a theological reflection on the call to ministry.
    • Plenary - “Celebration Keynote,” with the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, 9AM CT, 6/6/25
      • The Reverend Canon Stephanie Spellers Canon Stephanie Spellers is excited to celebrate our anniversary with this keynote on how we can form Jesus-centered beloved communities that spread from EfM seminars to our congregations to the wider world. Get ready to be inspired and encouraged for the road ahead!
    • Plenary - “The 5th Curriculum Revision,” moderated by Jennnifer Tyndall Wickham, 2PM CT, 6/6/25
      • Trainer and Mentor Jennifer Wickham facilitates a discussion with members of the Curriculum Revision Task Force. Their presentation will introduce EfM's updated curriculum, debuting in Fall 2025. Panelists include Year 1 Focus Lead Sandra Squires, Year 2 Focus Lead Liza Page Nelson, Year 3 Focus Lead Joy Rogers, Year 4 Focus Lead Rick Brewer and Angela Hock Brewer, Wide Angle Focus Lead Jenny Puri Beaumont, and Respond and Reflect Focus Lead: Karen Byers.
    • Plenary - “The Daily Office in History and Practice,” with the Rev. Hilary Bogert-Winkler and Sister Hannah Winkler, CSM, 10:30AM CT, 6/7/25
      • The Reverend Hilary Bogert-Winkler, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Liturgy for the School of Theology and Sister Hannah Winkler, Prioress, The Community of St. Mary, Southern Province, Sewanee, present the history and practice of the Daily Office. The Daily Office has long been at the heart of Anglican life, both for personal devotion and public worship. This plenary will examine how the Daily Office came to be, and how it has changed over time. The Daily Office has been the heart of monastic life as well, especially for Benedictines, whose day-to-day life is centered around the Opus Dei, the Divine Office. This session will also explore how the rhythm of prayer set forth in the Daily Office continues to guide the Church's prayer life.

    What is the cost?

    • $50 gets you Zoom access to the seven sessions mentioned above.


    How will I join via Zoom?

    • Once registered, you will receive EfM’s 50th Anniversary Zoom link. It is good for all 7 sessions.
    • Reminder emails will be emailed to all registrants 15 minutes before each session. It will also contain the direct link to the Zoom session.
