Join us in Hamilton Hall or online Wednesday, July 16, for the annual SUMMA Theological Debate Society Keller Keynote in Theology and Oratory. The SUMMA Keller Keynote is held each year during SUMMA Theological Debate Camp for high schoolers which takes place at the School of Theology. This year's lecture by Susan Redding Emel is entitled "Artificial Intelligence: How Thinking for Ourselves Changed the Christian World Forever." More than 500 years before “artificial intelligence” became part of day-to-day life, human intelligence led to new methods of critical thinking that changed religions, governments, education systems, and economies forever. In particular, theologians like Martin Luther and John Calvin provided new perspectives that diversified Christian belief. This presentation will explore how those developments in Christian thought resulted in the growth of several different types of Christianity. Additional Information:
